Uses for Stainless Steel Square Bars
Friday, July 14, 2017
As a corrosion and heat resistant material, stainless steel square bars are able to withstand exposure to chemicals, water, and other elements. They are easy to cut, web, form and machine.
Square bars are usually purchased as a cold finished bar that is further annealed to control hardness and reduce chipping while machining. Some bars, particularly the larger diameters, are purchased in the Heat Rolled Annealed and Picked (HRAP) state due the limitations on the cold draw benches.
Because of their superior strength and cold resistance, square bars are widely used in a variety of industries. They are an ideal selection for fabrication projects that are exposed to various elements. Stainless steel square bars are also a critical component to the manufacturing and engineering industries, due to their flexible application and durability. You’ll see them commonly used in Marine and Food Industries, as well as in the fabrication of frame work, support, axels, and braces.
At Action Stainless and Alloys, we offer several sizes and grades of stainless steel square bars. Our customers also benefit from our accurate and dependable distribution and Value Added Services, such as supply chain management and CNC machining.
